This policy covers LinkViews at linkviews.app: creators who build a page, visitors who open one and buyers who pay a creator. It explains what we collect, why, who receives it and what you can ask us to do with it.
1. Who is responsible
LinkViews decides how personal data is used on this service and is responsible for it. For anything about your data, write to support@linkviews.app.
2. What we collect
Creators (account holders)
- Account: email address, username, display name and account type. With email sign in, your password is stored only as a secure hash by our sign in service; we never see it. With Google sign in, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us. When you create your account, we work out your country from your IP address and keep only the country, for our statistics; the IP address itself is not stored.
- Page content: bio, avatar, header and background images, links, theme choices, social links, e-books, paid posts and any other files you upload. Uploads are kept in our cloud file storage.
- Plan and billing: your plan, renewal date and subscription history. Card details go straight to our payment processor. We only receive limited details such as card brand, last four digits, country and payment status.
- Earnings and payouts: your sales, fees, balance, refunds and chargebacks, and the crypto wallet addresses, coins and networks you enter for payouts.
- Support: tickets, messages and screenshots you send us in the dashboard or by email.
Buyers (tips, paid posts, e-books)
- Your email address, what you bought, the amount, the service fee and the payment status. We use your email to send your receipt and your access or download link.
- For e-books, a record that you asked for immediate access and accepted losing the right to withdraw: the time, the version of the consent text and your IP address.
- During checkout our payment processor may collect device and browser signals to detect fraud. It handles that data under its own privacy terms.
Visitors of creator pages
When you open a published page or click a link on it, we count it for the creator's analytics. Each count records the page, the link clicked, the referring site or campaign tag, your browser type and an approximate country worked out from your browser time zone or language. We do not record your precise location.
To count each device once, your browser keeps a random identifier (local storage key lv.device, with the cookie lv_did as a backup, for up to 13 months). Our server stores only a one way hash of it. A separate cookie, lm_v_ followed by the creator's id, lasts 30 days and tells us whether you are a new visitor to that page. All of this happens only after you accept analytics in the cookie banner. Until you choose, or if you decline, nothing is counted and none of these are stored. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page; declining deletes the identifier and these cookies.
Your IP address is used briefly to limit abuse and is not saved with analytics. Creators only see totals: views, clicks, unique visitors, sources, countries and live visitors. They never see who you are.
People who report content
Anyone can report a page. We store the reason, your description, your email if you choose to give it, and a salted hash of your IP address to stop abuse.
Old fan email lists
Creators could once collect fan emails on their page. That feature has been withdrawn and no new emails are collected. Emails gathered before stay in the creator's account until the creator deletes the account or asks us to delete them. The creator who collected them is responsible for how they use them. If you gave your email this way and want it removed, write to support@linkviews.app.

We use no advertising cookies and no third party trackers. Our payment processor sets its own cookies inside the checkout form to prevent fraud.
4. Why we use your data and on what legal basis

We do not send marketing emails, we do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising or for automated decisions about you.
5. Who receives your data
- Creators: when you tip, buy a paid post or buy an e-book, the creator sees your email address, what you bought and the amount in their dashboard. They may contact you about that purchase.
- Anyone on the internet: a published page shows its username, display name, bio, images and links. A Free page is not published.
- Google Firebase: sign in, database, file storage and hosting, acting on our instructions.
- Our payment processor: takes card payments and subscriptions, and is responsible for the card data it handles.
- Our email delivery provider: sends our emails on our behalf.
- Public blockchains: a payout to your wallet is recorded on a public ledger. The address and amount are visible to anyone and cannot be erased.
- Authorities: when the law, a court or a valid official request requires it.

6. How long we keep it

You can delete your account yourself in the dashboard settings once any active plan is cancelled.
7. Security
Data travels over HTTPS and is encrypted at rest. Access is limited by security rules and to the few people who run the service. Card numbers never reach our servers. No system is perfectly safe. If a breach puts you at risk, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
8. International transfers
Our database is in Hong Kong and our servers run mainly in the United States. Our providers may process data in other countries too. When data leaves the EEA or the UK, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful safeguard.
9. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us for a copy of your data and ask us to correct it. If you are in the EEA or the UK, you can also ask us to delete it, restrict or object to its use, or send it to you in a portable format, and you can withdraw consent at any time. You may complain to your local data protection authority.
If you live in California, you can ask what we collect and ask us to delete or correct it. We do not sell or share personal data as California law defines those terms, and we will not treat you differently for using your rights.
To use any of these rights, email support@linkviews.app from the address linked to your account or purchase. We reply within 30 days.
10. Age
You must be 18 or older to create an account or to buy anything on LinkViews. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think a minor has given us data, write to support@linkviews.app and we will delete it.
11. Changes
When we change this policy, we post the new version here with a new date. If a change affects how we use your data, we tell account holders by email before it takes effect.
